I've never gotten a tatoo before and would like some ideas about what to get. Also, where on my body should I get it? Don't certain areas hurt more than others?

you need to get something that means something to you, not a fad, that way you wont regret it down the road. yes certain areas hurt more than others. Usually the closer to bone it is the more painful. dont go across the ribs or spine or on the foot. places that are meaty are good

Some places do hurt more than others when you get a tattoo. Like a place with a lot more bone to it, like your ankle, will hurt more than someplace with more tissue, like your bottom. But anywhere you get one will probably look good as long as *you* like it. But remember, tattoo's are permanent. So, whatever you get will always be there. So, you should get something that means something to you. I don't have any tattoo's (I might get a couple later on, I dunno) but my mom and grandmother both have tattoo's. My mom got stuff that she liked or meant something to her. And my grandmother is covered with tattoo's of all kinds of things, some stuff that she doesn't even like that she just had felt like getting at the time. So, it would be wise to make sure it is something that you will always like. You could get something smallish as your first in case you no longer like it, it won't be as visible. But, either way. An idea is a small rose with some other decoration with it on your ankle or back or something. Or a butterfly or dragonfly.....those are always pretty. But, whatever you do choose, just try to make it a good keeper. Have fun with your new tattoo if you decide to get one.

Please don't bother! I know this is not what you want to hear, but when you deal in needles and blood, you are running the risk of infection via blood- that means HIV, Hepatitis C, and other nasty things, not to mention that when you tire of that fashion statement, you have to go through another painful laser removal procedure.
Sorry to rain on your party.... heh.

on the feet I think is nice, or above the foot somewhere (hurts less probably but not sure), do not tattoo your arms I've got one and it disturbs me.. I've got a dragon on my back, but I like tribals as well, yeah a good tribal is nice just with lines.

Get a small, ornate arrow tatooed right above your pubic bone. :D

A tattoo is permanent so get something that has meaning to you and screw what everyone else thinks you get.

I don't have any, but I've always liked seeing little butterflies on people's ankles.
