I've had threadworms before, when I was a child. I remember getting tablets for them and my whole family took the tablets. I know I have them again. I've had them on and off for months but each episode seems to get worse. I think about getting tablets but then when I get around to it they've gone away again. I really want to get some tablets from my pharmacy but i don't want to have to tell my family as I'm embarassed.
I still live with my parents and sister, although I'm an adult. My sister has problems swallowing tablets and I'm very embarassed and don't want to tell my family that I have worms. If I take the tablets and don't tell my family, will it work? Or will I get reinfected? Is it worth just having a go of treating myself and see if it works?
I'm in the UK. Can I buy the tablets froma pharmacy without seeing my doctor? Is there a brand name of product I can ask for so I don't have to ask for "something for threadworms?"

Actually you can even treat the pets with the same thing that you take for worms. I had a Vet tell my husband and i this, that the same thing a human takes for worms that it is the same thing they treat animals with! Don't spend all of that needless money on vet medications when you can get it a whole lot cheaper at the pharmacy. Good Luck!

Ovex can be brought over the counter. It takes a couple of days to work and if reinfestation occurs can be taken again two weeks later. It is advisable to treat the whole family but if they're not complaining....? It's a very common parasitic infestation though and you shouldn't be embarrassed. Hope this helps.

if you have worms you can pass them on to anyone who comes into contact with you, the doctor will treat you and your family with a syrup, if your sister explains she has a problem with tablets, why dont you look it up on your pc, it will tell you the best way to cope with it. good luck..

some people do no longer understand that those terror communities have been raised from infants that their lot in existence is to kill all infidels. This has been happening for some years yet they might rather merely blame Bush than examine the data out!

yes - you can just go straight to the pharmacist - there are otc medications for sale for standard worm tretament

yes you need to dose the entire family and any pets too (although get theirs from your vet)

even if you are unsure dosing the family has no dangers
