How can a XP windows updates automatically WITHOUT validation or genuine window authentications.
But while checking updates manually, after logging to microsoft.com, it starts checking the validation & genuineness of windows, before installing updates. Strange!! Has anyone experienced the same. Please share.

Did you set it up to automatically do the update and install it? You need to go to Control Panel, systems, then your security center to tell it to manually ask you if you want the update.

I have a fix for the genuine problem, just contact me if you want to know how to get rid of it.
