For first time PDA user, I recommend
Blackberry 8700c - it has all keys on keyboard for typiing email, does push technology for email, so you don't have to periodically keep logging in to check your email (like Treo)

Else you can go with
Blackberry 7130c - it has smart keys (two alphabets on one key) and sleeker form factor.

Both are available from allmost all wireless providers. I listed out the models from cingular, hence they end in "c"

I've wondered that myself. I do know that yahoo has one,,thats for e-mail. But, I wondered, if it was an actual speaking phone, as well, otherwise whats the point, you know? I want something I can talk on too, especially if I'm in a hurry, and no time for e-mailing you know what I mean?! so, I like to look back on your question to see what other imput you receive, for myself, as well. Lets hope its something worth your time, and 5 points! Good-Luck!

I love the LG models from Verizon. I have the LG9000 and it great. Clear reception, flip out key board for typing and a camera! Do not get the one from Sprint ...poor reception). Blackberry's are great also...just a bit chunky.

The treo works well, and you get the PDA functions too.
Kind of bulky if all you want is the phone with email though.

Nokia 9300 / 9500 / 6820 / 8610

I'm not sure if you can find 8610 or 8620 now in the market, but they're so cool I think: http://www.nokia.com
