I go to the Drive-In when I can. Here's why:

No gum/soda/food on the floor of my car.
My car doesn't stink.
No kids running around in my car.
I don't hear rednecks, thugs, teenage retards on their cellphones in my car.
The stereo is never too loud in my car.
I can bring food and booze in my car!!!
I can "get coozy" with my lady in my car.

Enough said.

My dad took me to Russ Myers flicks when I was 5 at the drivein. I grew up at the drive in. Not so many left. My home town had 4 of them now they are down to one. You can beat the atmosphere you get a drivein. Go hang out with a bunch of friends and sit out under the stars to watch a couple of movies. The nearest drivein is 2 hours away so I don't go so much anymore. Once last year (Batman Begins/Mr. and Mrs. Smith). The theaters are getting too expensive anymore so I am picky on what I see. Seen this year so far (MI3, Over the Hedge, X-men 3, Fast and the Furious 3 (not picky enough huh?). I also seen Cars which is the only one I liked so far. Superman Returns and Pirates Caribbean coming soon so I'll be going back.
But if I had my choice and the price was right I would load up my kids and hang out at drivein all summer.

Indoor. We have one last drive in left, but they haven't kept it up very well and the sound system is difficult, so more and more people are going to the indoor. Plus, there are so many more offerings at the multiplex theaters.

I live in Houston and it gets HOT plus we don't have any drive-in theaters in town we would have to drive out and those are mainly opened at night anyway and the sun is not out.....Indoor for me.

Dude-- indoor. It's cooler and a hell of a lot closer. I don't even know where a drive-in is in my city. Although i have to say that a drive-in movie is more romantic with a gf.

Indoor, sometimes I go to the drive-in, but it gets noisy and it is hard to hear there.

I don't think there even are any drive in theaters around here, unfortunately. None that I have ever seen. Nearest one is in upstate NY.
