Yes. that might be true. Some people are too serious to answer those funny questions and they must be those that either get offended or something else they dont like or it could be because as you said because theyre not humourous.

1. From the tone and vocabulary of some answers, I suspect that there are very young, naive people answering qustions, not from any real knowledge, but from a very real desire to help. Even for me, I am sometimes tempted to answer what appears to be an insanely stupid question just in case it comes from someone who truely wants to know. I may be setting MYSELF up for ridicule, but I'm old enough to take it.
2. Some appear to answer from an uncontrolable desire to ridicule someone they sense may be even more insecure than themselves. For them, wise a** answers take the place of humor.
3. For me, it makes no difference. I'm so eager to crack a joke that I don't distinguish or differentiate between good or bad humor. I NEVER let an opportunity for a wise crack go by.

Somewhat...I think it's all about the points. Like that terrible P. Diddy song, "All about the Benjamins, baby." But what I don't understand is...what are the points even for??? It's not like you get to pick out a little stuffed animal.

I don't really care who answers me. When I ask asinine questions, it's just to see other peoples responses to them. I kind of prefer those with no sense of humour because they make me laugh.
