This of course, depends on the person. Cats are good pets for people who just want something that will lay around and cuddle with you when you have had a tough day or are feeling lonely. They are fun as kittens and will play with string and such, but once they get older they are more calm and a good animal to have when you are older. They are easy to take care of, if properly kitty-box trained and can be left at home in the house while you are out. Dogs on the other hand are much more work, but worth it. When they are puppies they have to be taken out every few hours to go to the bathroom and tend to get into just about anything(shoes, clothes, toys) As they get older they still have to be taken out if they are an inside dog, but can be taught tricks and learn commands very well. Dogs can be taken out on walks or if you are an active person you can take them jogging and most will still act like puppies until the day they die. Dogs are good to have if you live alone, for many will protect you and are better for the younger person or the family pet. Both animals have their negative and positive qualities and it is up to you to decide which one matches your personality the best.

Depends on what you like. If you want a good friend who will play with you or atleast be active and will be a great friend then get a dog. I would choose a dog over a cat anytime. But if you just want to sit on the couch and keep something in your hands and keep petting it then you should get a cat.

Well if you like staying inside ur house and watching tv or summten than a cat becasue dogs need to be able to go outside sometimes. But if u like the outdoors then i would get a dog. But cats are less work than dogs, but dogs are more fun then cats. so i would get a cat and a dog =D

Dogs hands down. They have a purpose and are playful. Most cats are snotty and down right mean. I don't want a pet that's going to hiss at me everytime I want to play with it.

I like both, but dogs are my fave. They're much more active, and I can actually do things with them. My dogs also accompany me nearly everywhere, but I wouldn't do that with my cat.

Cats use litterbox which is easier to clean. Cat food is cheaper (unless it has a picky stomach and you have to buy the science diet stuff).Plus they make good snuggle buddies.

well i like them both but cats are easier to take car of dog u have to walk play with them and when u have things to do u cant play with them
