Actually, the original Amityville Horror was dated before 2005. I think the original was the best. The remakes always leave something to be desired.

I think it's actually one of the better remakes out there. I really like how they dug more into the past for an explanation for what was going on (even though the entire claim on the hauntings was admitted and proven to be a hoax)

the movie was not scary! i really did not like the film becuase of the way it was filmed and edited it just wasnt pieced together right.

the orignal came out in the 70's and was much scarier, when I was a kid then, but the knew one was not to bad....It could have been scarier
