Your security level may be too low to enter chat rooms. Click on "start" on the bottom left corner of your screen. Then click on "control panel". Then click on Internet options. Then check your security setting. You may need to "loosen" it a bit in order for your server to allow them.

are you trying to go into private chatrooms? Those ones you have to actually get 'invited' into...
Otherwise, you may need a better hard drive, or a different type of internet access
