Don't use "save as HTML". You'll get large document with lots of useless code.
I use Dreameweaver. Select some text in word then press copy then paste it into Dreamweaver.

Just Open Your Word Template In MS Word (X)* And Then Click On File Menu And Choose Save As And When Saving The File Choose The File Type Choose 'Save as Webpage' And Click Save, It will save it on the Destination as a WebPage (HTML)

Just hit the F12 key to open the save as menu and then save it as a webpage. Pretty simple.
