hmmm, the list of 4 daughters appears to suggest something like nulie, but upon inspection, mary is the daughter of her father, who has 4 other daughters, so mary would be the fifth. In this same brain teaser vein, one might argue fathers don't have daughters, or sons, only mothers do. But this turns on a rather specific interpretation of "had".
