I went to a launch once and the overall public is about 11 miles from the pad. everywhere alongside Hwy a million alongside the Indian river is the same old places people bypass to work out a launch to boot as Cocoa sea coast yet that's easily a liitle added away. Canaveral beaches to the north is closed for the time of launches. . except you've written for your congressman and requested V.I.P. tickets in strengthen (that's the way you get them) you heavily isn't waiting to bypass into the Kennedy area center to work out it from the V.I.P. section that's 9 miles from the launch pad. because you stay in Jacksonville you would imagine about doing that for a destiny launch. .There are a number of lodges on the stretch alongside the Indian river close to Titusville and south on Hwy a million. . i become fortunate sufficient to get a room at one and besides the very undeniable actuality that the the launch become postponed sometime i become waiting to proceed to exist for it. you'll favor binoculars. The lodges all have NASA television. . because the commute is so distant they say that an nighttime launch is extremely the instruct to work out. . good success.

I live in Cape Canaveral so my back yard is a good place.
There is a place at the port of Cape Canaveral called Jetty Park that is also a good observation site. Try this link. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Near the port of canaveral there is a baseball field with bleachers -perfect view of the launchpad....or at least it was about three years ago.....Also, if you're heading east from I-4 and take the Canaveral exit and pull off at the top of the curve (many people do this but I wouldn't be the first one to line up....) and you can see it well from there too....I've heard that you can get closer, but I believe you have to get tickets.....good luck! It is amazing to see!
