I've got it on my computer and I want to get rid of it (if possible) to free up more memory, but I don't want to screw anything up by deleting it.

OmniPage is an OCR program - optical character recognition. It looks over a picture and tries to convert any text in the picture to actual text you can edit in word or notepad and such.

What kind of memory are you trying to free up? RAM? Hard disk space? Most computers have so much hard disk space, removing it will really do nothing for you except remove a capability of the computer.

In future, you might want to consider asking such a question on a site that allows and encourages discussion rather than one like this that encourages short sarcastic answers that don't often elaborate. For a list, see http://dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Technical_Guides_and_Support/
(I actively participate on several of the sites there).
