Language is used to communicate. If you put words together without any thought to structure and rules, you'd not be making yourself clear and the words themselves would have been pointless.

So yous don't looks like no dummy and yous can got an good job ya no? That's why--so you can read answers without any trouble and understand what the other person is trying to say and for you to communicate effectively. Many people think those who do not know how to use grammar correctly, are stupid. This may not be the case but it is difficult to prove without it.

I have to disagree with the previous posts that say that you must study grammar to appear more intelligent. This is not true. If you say intelligent things you will appear intelligent anyway.
The real reason to use good grammar, and therefore to study grammar in the first place, is to communicate effectively. There's no point in talkin' if nobody understands what you're sayin'.

So that you can speak and write like an educated person. Look at some of the questions on these boards written by people who have no grasp of grammar. They appear to be idiots.

By the way, the first thing a code writer eliminates is spacing and punctuation marks. Then the message is encoded.
