Each woman experiences different pains during the menstrual period, some not even at all (lucky!). But I'm like you, I experience lower back pains as well at abdominal pain. Some women even get bloated and will even crave certain foods.

To help with your pain, you can take Midol. It's an overthecounter painkiller specifically for women during the menstrual period. Other drugs that will help with the pain are:Tylenol, Alleve, Advil.

If you prefer not to take drugs, then heat packs are all available at the drug store! good luck! =)

I get back pain on the first day of my period too, as well as aching in my knees and elbows. I just rub IcyHot or any other sports cream and take some ibuprofin (Tylenol), and the aching and stiffness goes away.
Women get their periods very differently. My sister hurts so much and bleeds so bad, she takes 2 days off from work every month, while I just get the achiness.
