Was it Harpo Marx? It must have been around that long. When he first bought it, it was a lairy yellow colour, and while Groucho was addressing the audience in a performance in a theatre, Harpo appeared on stage, energetically chasing, and honking his little bike horn, at a pretty young blonde girl, who was trying to escape him. This was a little bit of devilment, to try to throw Groucho off his rhythm. Groucho paused, observed, and commented that he'd 'never seen a cab trying to hail a pedestrian before', which bought the house down.

I think it was David Niven - he had a 'lucky coat' he used in EVERY film he appeared in (except period ones where it would be inappropriate)
He also managed to mention the name 'Trubshaw' (I think) in every film.

Superstitious lot, actors....lol

I think it was Columbo,(Peter Falk) he tried to change it once and the producers wouldnt let him, then he tried to leave the series and Columbo, but his wife said she would leave him if he did, so he kept going. My favorite line from Columbo... He was asking another cop to help him look for something and he said '3 eyes are better than 1'............Also, Columbos name is Philip.
Ok, so I'm sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
