Mp3 players other than Ipods?

Question

I was at work and someone brought up a valid point. There might just be better mp3 players than the almighty ipod, i was wondering if there are any mp3 players that have the same features as ipods do like the alarm clock, address book, games holds pictures podcasts I'm leaning towars an ipod but i wanted more input before I got one. any answers will be appreciated.

Well it all depends if you are looking for a brand new one, a used one, or a refurbished one.
Check out stores like ebay or Amazon for a bargin.

I personaly do not like iPods, so here are my recomandations:

If you want a player that just plays music i would recomend an iRiver H10 (comes in 5gb, 6gb, or 20gb). I had one that i bought at Amazon for just over 200 bucks that I loved till the second that someone else decided that they liked it enought to steal it away from me at school. (Curse them!!!)

If it had'nt been stolen from me i am sure that i would still be using it to this day. The only thing that it dosent come with is the games and address book.

I am now looking for a Creative Zen Vision:M to replace it. Brand new from creative it is $300 but i have found it cheaper on ebay and amazon. This is a 30gb player that also plays movies. The only thing that this is missing is the games.

Both of those do come with a FM radio, which i love.

And of course , as it loooks like you are trying to, you could jump on the iPod bandwagon. I am choosing not to because it ONLY works with iTunes where i want whatever i get to work also with WMP 10.

If your route is the same as mine (using windows media player), i recomend going to Playsforsure.com. Here you can do the best search on the internet (in my opinion) for MP3 players that are Plays for sure compatible. You can select the size (memory and phisical), color, what you want inside your mp3 player and plenty of other things tat i cant even list. This is how i found both of my mp3 players that i have either bought or am currently buying.


So as you can see,
it really depends on what you are really looking for, how much space, and the condition of the player.

Ofcourse there are. iPod is almighty only BECAUSE IT IS AN APPLE iPOD!! But it doesn't have any accessories such as voice recorder, FM radio, CHARGER, etc. And has a built-in lithium battery that you can't change it by yourself & the Apple would do it for you. But still it's an iPod!!

There are lots of other MP3/4 players, but most of chinese ones are really rubbish. Creative, Z-Cyber (from Zoltrix), Sony Walkman are the other ones, that almost all of them have the things you want(ofcourse there are different models).

creative labs mp3 players are the best out there in my opinion. Comparable pricing, durable and most of em have a built in fm tuner tha lets you listen to the radio unlike ipod

almost i pods u can put pixs it has an alarm clock address book but mp3 u can only put music and pix and alarm

There are more durable ones, cheaper, more memory, more futures, and better warranties. I had an ipod, it was stolen, and they don't replace it.
