I'm really sorry that your mother did this too you. If I ever walked in on my daughter or happened to see her masturbating, I certainly wouldn't sit and tease her about it. That topic is something to be addressed in private. That is not something that is a dinnertime conversation.
Yes, You do need to address this with your mother, and make sure you do it private so you can teach her about some respect.

She should not be joking about it at dinner time or any time, but you shouldn't have done it with your door open knowing she was home. She is supposto be the adult here, and if she walked by and saw what was going on, she should have just shut the door to let you know she saw you, and let it go at that. That way, she would never have that picture painted for her again, and you would have been embarassed enough to shut your door when the urge hits. She knows she is embarassing you, I would suggest you ask her to start acting like a mature adult, and stop humilating you, and tell her, you would expect that behaviour from a teenage sister, not your mother. If nothing else, it will give her food for thought. SHUT YOUR DOOR.

to stop her from catching another show get yourself a hook and eye latch and put it on the inside fo your door, that is one step better than keeping the door closed. Also talk to her privately as soon as you can, tell her how it makes you feel when she speaks of this in public anywhere and ask her to stop. If that doesn't work start talking about her private bedroom adventures at the dinner table and hopefully even though you could get grounded it should make her realize that even though the door was open, bad on your part, that she should have just ignored it and kept on walking or at least don't make it known to the rest of the neighborhood what goes on in your room.

Your mother sounds like an insensitive idiot. Yes, you should tell her to stop, and explain to her that you are disappointed that she would share your private business with others. I bet there are things SHE has done behind closed doors that she would not appreciate being the topic of conversation at the dinner table. If she continues, she has a big problem and is a poor excuse for a mother.

Tell her that you suspect she is making jokes because she doesn't know how to deal with her emotions/her discomfort at having seen you engage in an act that is meant to be private.
Explain that you are growing up (or are already an adult) and that you were doing something natural and normal, thinking that you had complete privacy.
Tell her that her jokes are embarrassing you and making you self-concious, and if she doesn't stop, ask her if she'd like it if you described to other people the kinds of things she probably does in private (picking her nose, removing a tampon, checking out her naked body in a mirror, etc.).

The key to dealing with this abuse is to not be embarassed. Look forward to the next time she makes an unkind comment because then you can tell her, in front of her friends, that she had no right to watch you and that you deserve privacy and respect. Say this in a loud, assertive voice and if you feel it will add to the impact, leave the table afterwards.
