What is there to do in Dubai? I've looked around and it seems like fun but I only have a week off from work and want to organise it before I book.

Definately go on a desert safari.
Visit Souk Madinat
Go to an outdoor cafe where you can smoke sheesha.
Go to Wild Wadi waterpark
A nice Lebanese Restaurant to go to is Sidra in Al Diyafa Road. Try their oven cheese (it's almost like a pizza with just cheese) ask for toum(garlic sauce) with it, it is the best.
If you want to go to the beach a nice closed beach is Jumeirah beach Park. Remember to slap on the sunblock.
Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum's house and the Dubai Museum is nice if you are interested in History

you should totally stay in Al Qasr at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, a hotel there
