using the interenet, which is site is the best for looking up old friends..i need cheap if not free?

i am looking for a friend whom i havent seen in 34 years, looking to see if i can find him, via the internet, without being intrusive.....

It is going to be hard, I too have been looking for someone and have been tempted several times to just pay the money and be done with it. But I have not done that yet, as they want cc #'s and I won't do that.
