When does this occur?
Any errors when your computer first starts?
If you computer does not restart, hold down the power button till it goes off, then restart it again and see what happens

this happens to me a few times

this is related to the size of the memory for the screen. I forgot the what terminology is for this.

I usually pull out the plug from the laptop and then restart to machine. I would also run a chkdsk. This may clear up some stuff that causing the machine to slow up.

You should also have anti-virus software and a start up disk either on a floppy or cd ready in event whether you have a problem that will make the machine not start up at all.

not a big problem, just press down the power button until the screen goes dark, and start the computer. If that problem appears everytime you shut down, then I have no idea what it is, you might need to reinstall the window.

It crashed, Might be a virus.

Go to download.com and do a search for AVGFree Antivirus.
It's a good program. Other than that to solve your imediate problem. Turn off your pc for 10 seconds (long enough to discharge the memory) and reboot.

TRY F2 OR F12 ON YOUR NOTEBOOK,THEN WHEN ENTER F2 GO TO HARD DRIVE MODE ,PRESS ENTER..
IF THAT DOSN'T WORK TRY F12, SCROLL TO HARD DRIVE
THEN PRESS ENTER..
I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM,WHAT I DID WAS KEEP ON PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON ON AND OFF ON YOUR COMPUTER
IT WILL GO TO FACTORY SETTINGS, THAT MEANS IT WILL
START TO THE BEING WHEN YOU FIRST BOUGHT THE SYSTEM

keep pressing the power button for some time. this will shut down ur comp.....thn start it again.......:)

try ctrl-alt-del to restart again it might have messed up
