Just delete them, sometimes those emails contain malicious material like a virus or spyware. Their intent is to not spam you, but to send you a contaminated email.
If you dont recognize the email address, then its definitely not something you want to open or read. If it is a recognizable email address, then its also possible that person clicked SEND before they got to write something by mistake.

As I have gathered this scam its either a bad script sending spam e-mails, or someone checking to see if your address is 'active', if it was inactive, then the mail would 'bounce' on the server. If its on Outlook Express, and has no sender, its very easy to filter them.
Effectivly, you block E-Mail that does not contain '@' in the 'From' line. Read this carefully.....
Tools>Message Rules>Mail>Mail Rules In New Mail Rule, check 'Where the From Line Contains People', and the action.... Delete It. Now, you should have 'Contains People' in blue. Click on it, Type '@' in the line at the top. and ADD THEN in 'Options', you need to select 'Message does not contain'
close etc.

It's probably spam. An e-mail doesn't have to have something in it to get spam on your comp...In the future, unless you know who the e-mail is coming from or you are expecting an e-mail from a particular e-mail adress, deleteting it is your best bet. Hope this Helps!!!

If they are from someone you know, check by highlighting the body of the email in order to ascertain if they used white text - I know this has caught me on more than one occasion when someone has written to me using a dark background and white text, which didn't show up until I highlighted it. Weird I know but it's worth a shot.

Just delete them, I think they get paid if you open them, and they may contain a virus.
I am sick of getting e-mails with the subject: I was so sorry about Tuesday, or did you forget about our meeting.
They anger me so much.
