can I find out if a supplied Tel. No. belongs to a bona fide company?

I have had a postal offer from a company which, if accurate, I would be interested in purchasing. However I cannot find a record of their given address. They have supplied an 0871 Tel No. is there any way of checking if this is registered to a genuine company. 1st call was unanswered!

If the first call was unanswered, that should be your clue...

If i were you, i would check with the better business bureau
