Example: I want to leave a myspace comment for someone who has a picture of their abs, if i said, "Now thats whats up!" in the comment, would that be appropriate?

are you tring to say something like, "that's what's happening" or "that's what's hot?" Because in that context, that's what it sounds like to me. sure it'd be appropriate, why not?

Yeah that would be appropiate. Whats up is just like saying now thats whats in or thats whats hot or whatever

that's what's up means u are agreeing with what the person or thing is saying or doing. and an example with how u will use it will be if i said im gon go slap dat hoe u will say now that's what's up.

Yea that's appropriate. "That's what's up" is like saying "That's hot". To simplify it even more, it's like saying you like what you see.

"That's what's up"........translates into " Now, THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!!!!".Totally appropriate if you are likin' what your'e seein'.
