I think there are two senses of this question "what is the meaning of life", first the semantic sense of this question, second what is life all about as regards human purpose.

On the semantic sense I believe that there are optimal minimum definitions which give the essence of a meaning. "Life" has a two part definition, two word definition. Any definition can be "resolved" into two words, the trick is finding the two or the optimum two. I do not know the one for "life", but for instance "black" may be "opposite + glow", "crawl" = "opposite + run", "home" = "house + posses", "bring" = "come + posses", "pool" = "contain + sea", "tower" = "contain(er) + great", "hold" = "repel + negate", "release" = "hold + negate". For "life" I think one of the components of meaning is "nature", but I have not yet determined the other.

Our purpose in life is a combination of several things, and I think each has his or her own particular individual puropose. The general purpose of everyone is to 1) be cultured (and I mean that in a wide sense), 2) to experience and thus learn how to work, 3) to reproduce abundantly (in general), and 4) to become rescued (saved) by becomming directly acquainted with the Truth of God.

I think we will be on firm philosophical footing by reasoning along the two lines listed above for the subject of this most important question.

The meaning of life is how humans are capable of surviving. Love, and living and faith eyc. are all extra but you need to survive in plain existence in order to have those things and to have an opinion of what life means

We are here for a reason , that the universe is all order and the beauty of our world ,and the goodness or meanness of mankind is all part of our creator plan. We judge ourselves and there is no grater reward than feeling great about a tiny good one did.

There is no meaning, we are just a formation of organics that have created an organism. This was a random co-incidence after the 'big bang' occured.

There is no meaning.
Only purpose:
To reproduce.

Do the best you can with what you have. I know, not supremely profound, but I'm anxious to see what others think.
