I would think that things gradually evolved over time. There must have been enough "almost" butterflies to pro-create with the butterfly to have offspring. So I feel it would be like being in the current of the stream and the stream would have kept pushing forward maybe a little different but in the same general direction. Just a guess.. Good question.

Would you come back to the same civilization. Of course not. Butterflies are an important part of some peoples live and some mammals and insects diets. However, I don't believe it would be drastically different.

No, Bradbury, you couldn't travel back in time with the specific intention of killing the butterfly because then the present that caused you to have the intention to go back in time in the first place wouldn't exist.

Go back in the future and try it. Then I'll answer your question. No, I won't be mean. You would come back to the same civilization, and there would still be butterflys. (Looks like you forgot to kill the first CATERPILLARS.) :)

You cannot travel back in time. Let's say you went back 10 years in time and ran into yourself. That's an impossibility.

this is a touchy subject, i think if anyone went back in time and did ANYTHING like that it would effect the future, i think the biggest thing you could do is like move a rock or something but seriously i think EVERYTHING is linked to something in the past and if u change one thing it will change everything, it's hard to expplain.
