It depends how you interpret the question for instance1+1=2 or could =11.

How you say?
1 + 1 = 0
1 - (-1) = 0
+ (-1) + (-1)
1 = -1
Really though, 1 + 1 = 2 ... someone wrote a mathematical proff that was extremely long and covered every possible ground supporting this equation

It's true in the number system we normally use. In other number systems, it isn't necessarily true. In binary, 1+1=10
