And what is in the outer place of the universe?

From the physics point of view, our universe thus far is approximately 15 billion light years and expanding every second. Light year is the distance that light with the speed of nearly 300,000 Km/s travels in one year. This distance equals 9, 500, 000, 000, 000 Km (that light travels each year). Now, imagine how big our universe is!!

About the second part, The space-time (space and time are inseparable) make our universe. They are both dynamic and the fact that universe expands means both the space and the time expand. Now, in what do the space and time and our universe expand? This fact is not like other daily facts in our life, it is not possible to assign a place for space-time so that our universe expand in it. We cannot say there is something outside our universe because it is meaningless. These concepts are complex and require in-depth studies and deliberating.

I hope these would be a little helpful...

It is Big, Huge and Stupendous!!!!!! Earth in the Solar System which is in a Galaxy which is in the Universe with more of the same. How far and Big ALL this is just Mind Boggling. Does it have an end? No one knows. Do it curve back into itself through Time/Dimensions? No one can say. It is Awesome!!!!

The boundry of the universe as we understand it is continualy expanding and therefore has no end.The answer would be, infinate. That place beyond the universal boundry which does not yet exist can best be thought of as imaginary number space.

Everything you know has some sort of end or boundry. the room you're in, the size of the biggest building, everything. The universe as we understand it just keeps growing and expanding.Don't try to dwell on it or you'll end up with a headache.

there are two theories about this.

1 theory is that it expandes indefinitely starting from the Big Bang.

another is that after the Big Bang, the universe expands until it can no more and all the gravity pulls it in - thus eventually creating another Big Bang.

its all theories and hypothesis based on gravity, special and general relativity, etc.
