I put a lot of dress suits and things I really don't want to ruin. My question is, what happens when you open it? Do all these vacuum wrinkles magically disappear like they show? Or will all our dress clothes be permanently wrinkled for all time?

I use them when traveling and have found that my dress shirts don't come out completely pressed, however they aren't overly wrinkled either. Most of the time I can smooth out the wrinkles or use some "Wrinkle Releaser" spray from the store.

They work pretty well.

I am glad you asked this question because I just bought a set of these. I used them for sweaters and sweatshirts and big blankets that don't matter to me if they are a little wrinkly. as far as your dress suits do I am sure that the winkle re-leaser spray will work just fine on any wrinkles it may have.

If you do the steaming thing remember to make sure the clothes are completely dry before closing up the bag again.

I tried the knock offs first and they sucked. Then I tried the space bags - Worked awesome. I store my seasonal clothes in them and put them in the attic. A couple articles of my good clothes I steamed out a few wrinkles. Other than that, No gross bugs and no attic smell. If you decide to use them, take your clothes out every couple months, steam out any wrinkles and put them back in. If you don't want to go through the hassle or are still unsure, talk to a good dry cleaners or use acid free lignen free storage boxes (you'll have to take the clothes out of the boxes and refold them once or twice a year, though.)

I found they sometimes leak air ; and yes your clothes will be wrinkled when you take them out. The solution for that is, either tumble them in the dryer (air only) or if on vacation you have to find the housekeeper and ask to borrow the vaccumn cleaner. Actually in a book, called Haleys Hints he says use a regular good sized trash bag for getting the air out, it*s a lot cheaper than space bags. I tried it with pillows and it worked great.

They have worked for me. I especially enjoy using the traveling space bags. They do come out with some minor wrinkles, but usually some wrinkle out spray they come right out.

I purchased a set on QVC and I have found that if I put too many items in the bag, the seal will not hold. When the seal does hold, the items come out just as I put them in there. I would not purchase them again because of the limited quantity they hold.

I only remember seeing the commercial once months ago, but they look like a good idea. I boycotted the dry cleaners years ago. They destroy my clothes every time I go and then charge me an arm and a leg to do it. And they're totally sexist against us women. Every dry cleaning place advertises only $.99 for men's shirts, but not women's! WTH?
