I've read many of his books (your first answerer confused him with William Golding.)
He's really quite good and the movie they made from his book "The Princess Bride" is also excellent. (Here's a good quote from that book: "Life isn't fair. It's just fairer than death, that's all.")

The only thing I have read by him is Lord of the Flies, which is an excellent book in my opinion. I would like to read more of his work but have not had the opportunity.

Based on that book, I think He is(was) a very talented author.

I always like his book "The Temple of Gold" which nobody else ever seems to have heard of. And "Your Turn to Curtsy, My Turn To Bow." And of course "The Princess Bride." And the creepy "Magic."

Whoops, maybe I *am* a fan.

I enjoyed Temple of Gold and and his novel Boys and Girls Together. Have not yet read any others.
