It has become so boring to me personally that I have stopped watching altogether. It has become boring primarily since they put on the aero package that makes racing close to eachother a near impossibility. All they have done in recent years is change little things to try and make it more appealing where instead they should change the basics of the sport [something they are afraid to do I think]. I say :

1. Get more cars on the track. A minimum of 26. Maybe try and make it easier for smaller teams to hop on the F1 train. Remember the pre-qualy days ? That was the best ! More cars than there were places in the field. So what if that means new Simtek like teams... it adds charisma to the sport with one-offs trying to make the field. No seriously, does bump day with 15 or so drivers trying to make the field at Indy add something to that race ? You might disagree with me on this one but hey this is all IMHO.

2. Get rid of all aerodynamics on the cars up to the point where they can race close to one another [again]. This will also get rid of all the little winglets and stuff that gives the cars such a messy look. The way F1 is going they might just introduce a push-to-pass in F1 soon as well !!!

3. Dump Monaco [oooh making enemies here now :D], racing there is boring in principle.

4. Re-introduce slick tires [the pinnacle of motorsports on grooved tires, how in the world could that happen ? Want the cars to go slower ? See point 2 !

5. Revert all other [qualy for example] rules to the year 1995 and you're done. Then let those 'world's best' drivers do the rest for you.

6. Dump Indy and go to one of the fantastic American roadcourses... like Elkhart Lake, Laguna Seca, Road Atlanta or Mid Ohio. Safety wise that would take a slight investment in those tracks [some more than others] I know but it would do justice to the fact that the US DOES know how to race on roadcourses. In fact, some of the best roadcourses in the world are there.

7. Stop putting Asian cookie cutter tracks on the schedule just for the money.

8. NEVER EVER take Spa off the schedule EVER again !!!

I guess I could go on for a while but think this is enough for now ;) I know it will never happen but I can tell the FIA this. I'm holding Norbert Haug hostage in my basement and will cut off his chins one by one until all my demands are met !

:P

It's been boring for a long time. It was exciting back in the years when Alain Prost, Nigel Mansell, Nikki Lauda and Aryton Senna were racing. Now there are only a couple of teams with all the money, and they have monopolized it to the point of boredom!!

no its not boring. Its the fastest racing on earth. Compare to the technology used in i.e nascar or indy 500, F1 is more high tech with space aged technology.FYI did u know that when a F1 car are breaking they put around 85kg of pressure on the brake pad and the heat generated from the friction of the brake pad is equal to enourmous 1000 celscius. The same temperature to melt a diamond!!

I think that it's a little more interesting this year than the last.
Even though I am an Alonso fan, I do like a bit of excitement in the races!

Bring back the good old days of the duals of Senna/Prost and Mansell

It was quite an exciting race this time. Unfortunately, the director managed to miss everything as it happened and we had to have recaps.

So, unfortunately, I must disagree with you that (in this instance) the race was boring. However, some races do seem to go on a little!

Not to me it isn't. Yeah there isn't much passing on the track, but to me formula 1 is all about the technology put into the cars, the engineers trying to make their car better than everyone else's and the strategy used to win the race.

Formula One is way too polite for my liking. Team orders and all that stuff, not much passing...I like my racing three or four wide, wide open..beating and banging their way towards the checkered flag, forty-three drivers all after one thing...a win and the money and points that come with it....
To put it simply, I'd rather watch NASCAR than F1. F1 fans can have their polite racing...it's not for me, thank you!

Yes it's boring now. I watch Champ Car instead-they run turbos and have real race tires.
