Because they can with impunity. They can relieve their agressions in an anonymous virtual world without any recriminations.

People become so insulting when answering questions ... because of their own low-self-esteem/self-worth ... the "attack" theory works for them rather than just simply answering the question(s) ... it's their way of dealing with "life" ... and it's very sad ... I know from experience ... that when I'm insulted when someone answers a question having been asked ... that there's something very wrong going on inside of that soul ...

Those people need to take a look inside of themselves ... and try to figure out why they are responding in an insulting manner ... it's to "get back" ... it's "payback for ?" ... or whatever?

Once that question is resolved ... the "whys" ... then their future answers to questions will not longer be insulting ... but that's "if" they wish to make changes in their lives ...

G-D Bless those of you who need BLESSINGS :)

Your husband sounds like a Jerk or maybe I should say is a Jerk. Far as your question goes on here some people feels if they give you their answer in an insulting way and it's close to the truth then hopefully you'll take their advice. I always pick and choose and ignore the azzholes.

I think its in mans nature to argue, or insult. We do not like it when people disagree with our 'comfort zone' way of thinking.
But, as wverything always seems to boil down to one thing:
If we follow the 10 commandants, we will all be better people. and thats not to say we will have disagreements. Heck, even in the old biblical days the old guys would gather and talk and reason with each other over some scroll or writing....
but to become 'insulting' no one needs that. when a person takes that approach, really....who will listen? we al naturally get turned off by someones insulting, degrading remarks....
hahaha
:)

There are an unfathomable number of ignorant, opinionated blowhards who answers questions based on an emotional response rather than reasoning things out, which is well beyond their meager capabilities. Ignore 'em. ;)

Edit: Karen's on the money with her answer about the effect of anonymity, too. Many people who are insulting to people they'll never really see (and by whom they'll never be seen) would never think of responding in such a manner to someone face-to-face.

Probably because a lot of the questions are insulting.

In the WWW you represent a belief of who you are without actually being known. This allows them to be mean without the fear of any true opposition. It is to bad a spouse or anyone would express negatives, trust that their heart hurts them more then they can ever hurt others. It may not be seen at first but in the long run they end up lonely and alienated.

Sometimes it is psychological.. they do not know the answer... wish they did know the answer and as a result, are insulting about it when answering or trying.. or attempting to answer.. Just let it pass

Sometimes "those" people make me so mad. If they hate this site sooo bad, and the people on it, why do they visit. Just rude cowards. Cause if they said some of the stuff they say on here, to someone's face, they would get thier grill adjusted. Sorry someone has been rude to you.
