I think Ecuador really deserved to win, the goal by Beckam was as much luck as anything else....

Bad officiating to start. Referees are having in general a very poor performance, today was not the exception. As far as the goal goes, everyone knows Beckham is a free-kick expert. He hits the ball the same way everytime, but no one has wisen up yet. Ecuador's keeper should have ******* know better. He did a horrible job on the wall, and even though everyone watching the game knew what was gonna happen, he let it happen anyway. This should be a lesson to the future teams facing England. We seen the Spice Boy score like that many times, wake up.

It was a very good match. i think that ecuador really deserved to win because they have been doing great. as for beckam, he is a great player and england would be nothing without him. Ecuador today proved to be as good as other great teams.

In reality I agree Ecuador Won!!!!!! If it wasnt for Beckham "miraculous" FREE KICK yup not real GOAL!!! Ecuador would of won......Plus I thought the game was supposed to be 11 vs 11 not 11 vs. 12 (England's paid off referee) Plus the whole England team was horribly structured and overall it was a pitiful game for England...........but most of all it was a pitiful win 0-1 come on......if England was all mighty why only 1 point..........

it was quite an awful display by the english team..i recall only ashley cole played so well on the left side..he has defended very well and helped out the attack a few times..the rest..played a below par performance..lampard particularly..and the formation 4-5-1 used by sven is not working AT ALL..hargreaves played badly at right back,carrick barely get any touch of the ball, and rooney was left alone up front lacking support..surely sven has to change the formation for the next match..luckily beckham was there to put england to the quarter finals..good one becks!

It sounds ok. yet i advance into hoping Sweden gained and we could see England Vs. the Germans. that would of by potential of a few distance been the final pastime of the adventure. England is enjoying appealing and Germany is triumphing decrease back the followers. this may be a tough attempt for the two communities. yet England and Ecuador sounds stable.

England won, but football lost again.
The Ref won, did anyone see the respect the ref had for the England team. He was afraid to call a foul.
I think the ref wants to be on the final himself and does not want upset their boss FIFA.
Ecuador played very well and had their changes.

Well i know England did not play that well, but certains players like Carrick and A Cole deserved to be rewarded as they worked hard. They gave good set-ups to players and A Cole saved England with his tackle. Well done them =D

personally i dont think ecquador deserved to win& im glad they didnt. as they played crap, quite frankly, so did england though.
I REALLY didnt like how ecquador players seemed to be ALL over pushing on england players & they were a bunch of fakers!! down on the floor, bloody taking a rest!!
The referee was crap, several times i wanted to kill him. he's obviously blind.
Beckhams goal was brilliant be it luck i dont care, beckham is a legend! you cant deny he is brilliant at free kicks.
england deserve to go through and im happy to see ecquador out of the tournament.
i wish england could win the world cup, it just seems, meant to be, with it in germany and 40 yrs since we last won it, but they way their playing, i think not.
