I think as long as there are "human beings" walking on this planet- it's not really possible for all conflict to end. Oh, it can get better. But human beings are fallible. They are also emotional. We will always make mistakes. We will always feel just a little bit of anger, fear, jealousy and hate. Thus there will always be a little tension- and yes as a result some form of conflict.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't make attempts to change things for the better. But we are here to learn, and grow- that's why we're imperfect at this time. Until we are perfect, there will never be perfect peace everywhere.

Who says everything isn't going the way it is supposed to be going in the first place. Maybe this is peace, we spend our time on these computers while we are at work (well, I am). Sure, you might say people are being killed, raped, stolen from, but how do we know at all that these things are not supposed to happen; we must experience and see these things to understand this peace your talking about, which I assume revolves around this same task of just sitting or laying around all day, because we have some how ceased all "conflict".

Certainly not at this rate. The differing sociological structures of all the unique countries on earth would never allow it to happen. World Peace is not "profitable" to anyone in power. As with the US, the perpetual "war machine" is their baby. They laugh in the face of anyone that suggests any plans of "ending" the war in favor of peace.

I believe that it is if everyone would stop and answer this one question..........is it necessary???????
This can be applied to any situation from a confrontation with another individual to someone cutting you off in traffic.
Try it and you will be amazed at the energy shift that happens immediately. It not only releases your thought process and energy attachment to the situation but it also releases the energy attachment to the other as well.
I also believe that if our World leaders started asking this question they too would come to know that World Peace can and will happen.

No. Why? Because there are too many unhappy people out there, and u know the old addage, misery loves company...and world peace just puts a stop to that.

depends on what you mean. do you mean no one every arguing about anything? then no. if you mean no war, then yes, of course.

the problem is that so many of us see war as inevitable. if we would get beyond that piece alone, something serious could get accomplished. for one, if the poor and gullible didn't get sucked into wars for "cause" by the propaganda machine that would be nice. (wars are always to the advantage of the rich, to the death of the poor.) that would be a great start--realizing that war benefits no one but the people who own the war machine.

I believe no.
By defenition war is a conflict between groups who use weapons to achieve their goal. In order to eliminate war we have to exclude one of the concepts in the definition: i) groups - and then of course there will be no one to fight with; ii) weapons - but then we have to get rid of a fear in minds all the people in the groups ( ...no danger, so give up our weapons... ); iii) goal - to find other stimuli instead, so that this new goal won't seed fear in other groups.
First option is the most easiest one, and this is exactly what war does - eliminates other groups and reveals the strongest. Also this option is the "behaviour way" deeply concealed in our human instincts.

Anything can happen, when we want them to, and thats the key words when we want them to. Were depending on governments, on religions, and thing like that to bring us peace, but we all have the power to do so, why wait for jesus to return when wee can fix our problems now, and give him a break, he did die on the freaking cross for us, why would he have to came back and try to turn us all into good people, when we can do it ourselves
