I left my clothes in the washer for about 5 days before i put them out to dry. They now have this horrible mouldy, moisture like smell. I tried washing them again, but the smell wont come out. Is there anything I can use to stop the smell?

I don't know if this will work or not, but try adding some baking soda to the wash. It's cheap. It's worth a shot. And baking soda neutralizes odors. If that doesn't work, try a different detergent. I love using Tide with Downy. It's a little expensive, but it leaves a fresh smell in my clothes. Especially when I hang them up to dry. And I hang my clothes up inside not outside. I think the air stinks.

Sponge with a hydrogen peroxide solution (20 volume strength 1 part to 6 parts water) then apply neat liquid detergent to the area. Wash in the usual way. A build up may be impossible to remove.

I had an same difficulty only bypass to wal-mart and stumble on a bar of cleansing soap you adore! and nicely.. does no longer innovations your clothing smelling like.. only positioned it in at the same time with your clothing in the drawer and the smell will finally bypass away and all you'll smell is cleansing soap an sparkling smells each and every time you open your drawer :) it extremely works! trust me lol and it really is an inexpensive restoration!

Try the white vinegar and only do 1/3 or half the load with the setting on large load. with that, I would use a liquid detergent and a liquid fabric softener (like Downy dispenser ball).
