And please dont say that the new generation has nothing to do, heck there are many world war 2 criminals that went free that still live and run parts of the country, and their sons and daughters should be pardoned.

It's true... the German nation comitted many atrocities in the not-so-distant past. Still, it is up to the rest of the world to balance keeping them in check with allowing them to become better. Think about World War One: the Germans were suppressed/punished in the aftermath of the war, and that only led to bad conditions there that allowed Hitler to persuade them only twenty years later to fight against the "oppressive" nations that had tried to punish Germany.

I'm sorry but you do have a problem and you need to check your hate. Just like not everyone from Germany is a pope, and not everyone watches the World Cup, and the World Cup is not always in Germany, just like that not everyone in Germany was a world war 2 supporter. And mind you, Americans had some Nazi support too; there was a White Rose newspaper somewhere in the states. NOT EVERY GERMAN WAS A NAZI, not every G. killed a Jew; get it? Sorry to support the country, and take a side against your opinion, but really, think about it; the criminal Nazis were haters. What exactly are you doing?
Pope Benedict was, reportedly, a close friend of John Paul II. There you go.
The World Cup is THIS year in Germany.
World War II erupted in Germany but there's other wars in history in which one country committed great atrocities. Come-on... what did we do to slaves and Indians? And yet, we still are considered a "great" country. Think about it before you write stuff like this, and do check your history.

What about to move on? Haven't you never done anything wrong in your life that you didn't regret it? If not, you are the type of person, whom can't recognize your mistakes, and tends to think you are perfect...careful, people whom think they are perfect, tends to sooner or later, start to believe they are god, and guess what? They become crazy, and dictators. You might come from Heaven, since the place you come from, seems never had committed any mistakes, for you think be entitled to judge others nations.
I don't think is right also, categorize a whole nation because an isolated act on history. I am not saying their act was small or big, or wherever, but I don't thinks is the fair way to judge a whole nation, plus Germany, have the support of others country too, as Italy and Japan. A good part of France, supported them too. At the beginning of the war, the only European country that didn't support them, and maintain a strong reluctant posture about it was England, even thou, France hostess the World Cup.
If you have decided to lock yourself in the past, that's you choice.
On my opinion, you seem much more to be a dictator on impose your opinion toward to others.
If a new generation, isn't a good reason for you to move on, you might think, that daughters and son's must have to pay the price of their parents mistskes...so let's go and sacrifice all of them!
If a new generation, with knowledge of their previous generation's mistake, isn't a good reason for the world and you, to move on, I don't know what else can be considered an good reason than the future of the world.

Crazy man

I am pretty sure you dont think that

I am almost certain you only made that
remark
because
You want attention

Well
here ya' go attention

It was the Nazi Government that committed the war crimes, not the PEOPLE

the people were brainwashed into Hitlers MasterPlan

hell, 75% of the public didnt even know what was going on, in the government

They thought the Allies were attacking b/c of German Advances in to poland and austria, not for The Genocide

So leave the germans alone
And stop being so ignorant

A rose is a flower, but not all flowers are roses. A Nazi may be a German, but not all Germans are Nazis. And I'd be willing to bet that not all Nazis were German either. The crimes of a fanatic regime are but a chapter in the story of a whole book of a people...the people are not the criminals, the country is not the criminal...the highest men in the Nazi regime are the criminals, because they ordered the autrocities done.

"Being given" what? And by whom?

America has committed atrocities against natives, against slaves, against anyone we care to use and abuse. Including Iraqi civilians.

And we're the richest, most powerful nation in the world.

There just ain't no justice in the jungle, huh?

Pick any country that has dared to aim at imperial power and you will find that they have been, per cause, just as shocking!

Oh, please, get over it. Germany has more than earned their way back into the good graces of the world. So has Japan and Italy.
