why? That is no solution.

Of course not. That is not to say they should go out and get pregnent. Teenagers, no matter how well they are brought up, and no matter all the advise they are given as they are growing up, and all the examples they are given as they are growing up, are going to do what they want to in the moment, not thinking about the outcome. Some teenagers are very focused and have goals and determination, that is not to say they are not having sex, but they have learned about birth control, and are using it.
If you are a teen, and pregnant, go to your parents, if you can't, not all parents should have ever had children, then go to a clinic for unwed mothers, they will direct you and counsel you, and teach you birth control, and morals. If your the parent asking this, let your daughter be able to turn to you, and discuss and face the issues here, and the options.

I think they should be more educated and encouraged to make the most of their childhood, there is a time for sex and rushing to get it is not the answer.
I am a parent of a 14 year old daughter and we often talk about sex and when to have it, we often have a laugh and a joke about it, from a serious note I like to encourage her to respect her body and the consiquenses of unprotected sex not just pregnacy but sexually transmitted diseases.
Sadly pregnacy in teens is a very high percentage, it is only when they get older that they realise how silly they were.
I will keep trying to prevent my daughters from rushing into sex but will also make sure that if they do become sexually active that they are protected, yes I am one of these mums who will take them to the family planning clinic and get them condoms and the pill as I do beleive that it is not just the responsibility of the boys to be protected.

no, ever since humans have walked this planed, the one main thing to drive us forward has been sex. its a totally natural thing and although at times it may cause problems, it's nothing to worry about. although over time there have been laws put upon us, it will never stop the fact that these things happen. its no more wrong than the sun coming up in the morning.
the birds do it, the bees do it and even educated flees do it.
so lets do it, lets make some love. lol.

No, but neither should they be given a house and money that us tax payers have to pay for.... The parents of the pregnant teenager should take the responsibility, afterall they are the reason their children got into the mess in the first place.

I personally think if their parents wont support them financially - come that any person who gets pregnant and cannot support themselves, I think they should be made to give the baby up to someone who can afford to keep it without living of this bloody country.
Some girls deliberately get pregnant to get a council house/flat and live off benefits - NOTE I SAID SOME! NOT ALL!
I think these people should be made to either stay in a hostel with the baby, not getting there own place till they can afford it or give the baby to a decent mother who can support it.
I'll probably get hate mail for this, but that's MY OPINION!

Do you realize the consequences>? How many millions of orphans would be 'stuck' in the system looking for a foster home in a country where having enough of them is only a dream to begin with? Sex education takes on a whole new meaning in this scenario, doesn't it?

They should get therapy to find out why they did this to themselves, their partners, their families, their children and society - teen parents have problems, they aren't just stupid or irresponsible, they just have low self-confidence and no education.
They certainly should NOT get the easy ride they do - yeah sure give them money to help care for a child, give them more support so their kids don't go the same way....but I HATE that doctors cannot/do not point out to pregnant teens how irresponsible they have been or how harmful it is both to them and their unborn children.

My little sister got pregnant when she was 16, sometimes kids make mistakes and i think having the baby is punishment itself, having to go to high school pregnant and be the object of scorn and ridicule, then on top of that they have to give birth, which is one of the worst pains to ever experiance in your whole life! I dont think U should post crazy *** questions like that about pregnant teens!

What if they get raped? They would still get locked up? Besides I think getting pregnant is punishment enough! I mean they have to get a degree, so they to stay in school in order to get a job to support you and the baby. And they still need to get a job, becuase you need money for your baby. And you won't get much sleep because the baby, school, and the job!
