A Press Release is give out with the assumption that a publication may reprint and distribute it. In fact, the author HOPES it will be widely reprinted. Press releases are usually sent to newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations, online news services, etc. to anounce events or report news.

A copyright (not WRITE -- it's about the RIGHT to copy) means that the material cannot be reprinted and distributed without the permission of the copyright owner -- usually the author, but can also be the original publisher or a team of writers, etc. Copyrights are usually used for works that are to be sold, although some people will also copyright their work just to have control over how it is used, even if it is not expected to generate a profit.

Press Release refers to information released to the media (originally print media, hence term press, but now also includes electronic media) in order to publicise a particular issue.

By copywriting, I assume you mean copyright, which refers to ownership by a creator of his/her created material.
