Why did the American team bow out from Fifa World Cup so early?

I feel the American Team needs more experience in the international scene, and more training on their skills.
And to some posters, Soccer is a british word used for Football that we adopted because we already had our own version of Football, something many europeans would suck at i would imagine.

naturally , when one person is jack then how you can demand specilism from that person
so
american needs to improve their attack and defense thaey don't know the art of making moves which are basically made by centre half.
so american team requires lots of training and need to improve its defense.
in short
american team's bow out reason is'jack of all trade and master of none

Because they are rubbish. Possibly the worst team i have seen, even Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica and Togo looked better.

Because they're not really very good, one or two class players but not enough to compete against the more established footballing nations on a consistent basis..

well first of all they call the sport soccer so you can't really expect much out of them. But really they have done so much better in other world cups and this was a step backwards.
