but let me tell you now... that if those Soldiers, those BRAVE< COURAGEOUS men and women that saved the world from Hitler, they sacrificed there all for you and me to live in the world today...
I don't care what your Religious denomination is, what colour (color) you are... whether your racial preferences interfere with your sanity...
if it where not for those people... you would probably not exist...
Do you really think Hitler would have stopped in europe and Africa!
Do you think that you would be even here today to have your little squabbles over oil and religion! Or Race!
I think not!

I'm sorry, but also there would not be a jihad movement... you see... you have too understand, the world as we know it; put simply would not exist... we would have been bread to conform to Hitlers standard... so we should respect what has been achieved, and celebrated, with peace!

Hitler would not have stopped and you are wise to point that out, but neither would a Jihad by al queda. They are no different then Hitler and will not stop in Israel, the middle east or the United States. This is not a petty squable over oil, it is a necessary fight for our survival. The sooner those who oppose this military action realize this - the better. If those who oppose this military action win the elections and stop it; pitty us all at the blades of madmen in al queda.

Out of respect for my father having 3 ships shot out from under him in WW2,and living through The Pearl Harbor attack.I will just say one thing.A world of Peace and Love would be a wonderful thing.But as long as mans Ego can be fed by POWER that is never going to happen.These men are starving for POWER and will never get their fill.So we can wish and we can want but the end result is we will have the POWER hungry here forever.

Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm going to sit here and watch Formula 1 on the telly. A little later, I'll have some lunch - perhaps some Lox and capers. This evening I'll enjoy some Vodka Paralysers and a nice steak and will perhaps take the missus out to a movie.

What are you suggesting we get all melancholic and have days off for every war that's ever been - we'd never get anything done!
Read the history books, learn from the past, appreciate the sacrifaces made by others if that's your thing, but leave me to get on with my life in the here and now!

Great points you made but global peace ? It will never happen, I wish it could. But as long as radical Islamist take the actions ordered by the false prophet Muhammad written in the Qu'ran, they will never allow peace. For it is their sworn duty to kill all non-believers.

I totally agree with you. My cousin's husband is currently serving in Iraq and I have friends whose husbands are over there as well. I truly know what sacrifice really means.
