Her Majesty's Handbag (the one she keeps one of her specs in) have been found in a SWAG bag, thanks to Pc Plod, and this owl, Harry Potter, and a gathering of muggles, and a little magic.

It depends, but it is usually carried by a Lady in waiting. She asks for it, should she need something from it. She doesn't carry anything as vulgar as money. Well one just doesn't; does one?

I have no idea where Her Majesty's handbag is, but I am fascinated by the parade of handbags she has appeared with over the years. They all look like the same bag, only they are different colours to match whatever outfit she has on. I've often wondered exactly what she keeps in them, as they are a fair size -- about the size of a laptop computer. I know she doesn't carry a wallet, because her ladies in waiting carry money when she needs it. She doesn't carry a driver's license (although she did have one when she was a young girl and served with the WAAFs as a driver) because she gets driven everywhere she has to go. She doesn't carry gum or snacks, because she doesn't eat in public. And she doesn't have a pocket book tucked in there, because there is never a time at an official function for her to sit down and have a good read. She doesn't even carry a spare pair of gloves, or an extra pair of nylons. Again, the ladies in waiting do that. About all I can figure she has in there is a handkerchief, and that's surely a whopping big bag for one handkerchief!

Actually the Queen doesn't carry a bag. She has staff to carry things she might need. Sometimes she'll carry something just for show. Just like the President, why would you need to show proof of ID, or drivers license?
