To the first three answers let me say that what you said does not answer the question. I too have wondered about the very same thing and I have come to the conclusion that the straight people who come to this site in a non-supportive way are just bullies AND voyeurs. They only wish that they could be lgbt! If something so thoroughly disgusts me, I wouldn't waste my time reading about it.

"You straights" is lumping all heteros into one category & not all heteros come here trying to put "you gays" down or call you wierdos or make you look sinners. Have you not visited any of the straight sites? The homo bashing haters that visit here should be ignored. They make themselves look bad & often give other straight people a bad rep with homosexuals. I am a straight person...no judgement here, no hate, no name calling.

This is the effect of all those hatemongers that do come to this forum.
Not all straights are out to send us to hell. And though I lapse from time to time, be polite to those that do - they'll either get bored and leave or just maybe (snowball and our final destination springs to mind, LOL!) they'll realise we're just humans too.
The other straights who visit us might actually be keen to learn about us and our (wicked wicked) ways :) or they might want to support someone - or their kid has just come out to them...
Lets not tar everyone with the same brush - or we'll be no better than those that condemn us for being able to love someone of the same sex or for wishing to redefine our bodies to reflect who we truly are.

This is why democracy is so great... everybody can express them self as they want. We, gays, just need to be tolerant like we ask the straights. Thanks God we live in a country that has freedom of speech. Do like I do, if I see something that is just ignorant or obnoxious.... turn the page and keep reading to the next comments. Give importance to what is really important.

The bible says: If you break one law; your guilty of them all. It also indicates that all have sin and fallen short of the glory of God, that there is none righteous, no not one. We all know about the story about Jesus Christ asking: " He that is without sin cast the first stone". No one has the right to stand on a soapbox of hatred.

Not all straights do that. I'm straight and I just look at stuff like these questions cuz I'm curious about gay/lesbian/bi/transvestite people. It's just interesting so......idk. And I don't discriminate against anyone.
