First of all. the winery is Wenti; the FIRST winery in California, and it has excellent product. They also have concerts pretty frequently on summer weekends. Second, downtown Pleasanton has a great little funky shopping area. Third, the east bay has some really neat regional parks, including Mt. Diablo, Del Valle, and others, some with camping, some without. Going a bit further afield, concerts at the Concord Pavilion, day trips to San Francisco or Sacramento or the Napa or Sonoma valleys.

there is the Alameda County Fair going on now at the Pleasanton Fairground.
Go shopping at Stoneridge Mall.
Take a train ride through the vineyards at the Norris Canyon Train Dept in Pleasanton.

I know that Pleasanton is near some really good wineries - Wendt I think in Livermore. There's a mall out there that's pretty good. Other than that, I don't know much about Pleasanton.
