Count of Montecristo by Alexander Dumas. Its about a young French sailor who was unjustly imprisoned for 14 years before he escapes and ultimately takes revenge on his enemies. The author did a great job describing the emotions of the prisoner.Disbelief, denial, self pity, madness, apathy and finally hope.

I also enjoyed To Kill A Mockingbird however I love all of Nicholas Sparks' books (The Notebook, The Wedding, A Walk To Remember, The Guardian, True Believer, and Nights in Rodanthe). I love the way he writes.. all of his books make me cry!

"Katherine" by Anya Seton. It's a little-known piece of historical fiction that was hard to find for many years but is finally back in print.
I also love Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander" series, Pearl S. Buck's "The Good Earth," Dickens' "A Tale of Two Cities" and almost all Jane Austen.

I really enjoyed Desperation by Stephan King, and The Regulators by Richard Bachman. That was really cool how they are the same characters, but different stories, like a parallel universe! Very clever!!
