Throw them out. The tapes are already degrading due to Earth's magnetic field so they are likely fuzzy and grainy already. If they are store bought ones that are in good condition you could likely sell them to a pawn shop (although you likely won't get much for them....maybe a buck a piece).

I donate mine to the public library. Put them in garage sales. The ones I have recorded I put in the trash.

I would donate them to your local cancer center. They have vcr's and dvd players so that people can watch movies while receiving their chemotherapy. It makes it go by faster. I would also donate any books you might have that you no longer want.

Sell on eBay , half.com or Craig's list. You can donate them to a library or school depending on content

Transfer what you have in them to DVD format. If they are worth selling in bulk, sell them. Better yet donate them. If they are personal movies or files, discard them properly like burning.
