A carpet cleaning company was attempting to convince me to buy their services. I told them that it was telepathy that made them call because there had just been a really terrible accident in my apartment and that there was blood everywhere! In the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and living room. I must have convinced them because they hung up and called the cops who showed up at my door maybe 5 minutes later.

- I told the police the truth - that I had made up the story because I was tired of telemarketers calling my phone. They all laughed and got in their cars and left.

Never anything wicked. I had someone who wanted me to change long-distance providers and I said no. She then got sort of belligerent and said, "You mean, you don't like to save money?" I just said, "Nope. I hate saving money." and hung up. Not really wicked.

My mom likes to play games. She has a pretty thick accent, but her English is good. Whenever telemarketers call, she pulls the "Oh, I no speak a English."

My friend, Ben, presses all the numbers on his phone at once and then hangs up! This makes the computerized dialing systems that telemarketers use go berserk.

I have with someone that is a with a certain religious group who doesn't celebrate Christmas.. They called me on Christmas Eve telling me about their group and I had just gotten my collicky baby to sleep and it woke him up.. I asked this woman what day it was and she said that it was Christmas Eve. I told her that unlike her that my family does celebrate Christmas and futhermore if i wanted to join their group that I would have a long time ago and for them to never call my house again... you can imagine what language I really used though.

My friend agreed to have a conservatory put on the back of his property and it was going through until he told the company that he was on the first floor of a set of flats.
