Answer to the question why more women like these poems than men?

Men cannot relate to emotion or feelings these poems are about feelings and emotions. Men are afriaid of their feelings and cant related to others feelings. Men are afraid of emotion so they hate these poems because they are represed and dont know or understand them Men are logical cold intellectual fish who relate to cars and technology more than poetry. That is why women will always chose a poet over a cold intellectual and men have to find a poem to express their felings cos they dont know how to write about emotion

I don't think it's really true. My wife and kids always loved it when I sat down and would read them poetry. Songs are poetry with musical accompaniment. Take the lyrics of a song and read them as poetry.
