terrorism has to be fought. right now it is being fought in Iran and Afghanistan. someday it will be fought in another country. that country could be right here in USA. yes, we are fighting it now, but not to the extent where we have solders dressed in fighting gear. you don't see tanks going up and down our streets. you don't hear gunfire and bombs going off around you.our troops are fighting to keep everyone free. they are also fighting to keep the WAR from coming onto our shores. and to all of our troops, no matter where you are, BLESS YOU.

Kerry called for an exit strategy with gradual troop removal, not cut and run. NO ONE ever said lets cut and run. How is that different from this?

Top general predicts gradual troop withdrawal

WASHINGTON – On the eve of President Bush's summit on Iraq, the top U.S. commander in Baghdad predicted yesterday that coalition troops will move out of the country gradually in the coming months.

Gen. George Casey said he thinks it will be possible to withdraw some of the 130,000 U.S. forces in the months ahead as long as Iraq's government and security forces make progress.

Casey would not say whether he plans to advise Bush on a troop reduction plan during two days of meetings with the administration's top national security officials that begin today at Camp David in Maryland. The general hinted the time may come soon for such a recommendation.
“I was waiting until we got a government seated before I gave the president another recommendation so we have some sense of what we've got,” Casey said on “Face the Nation” on CBS.

At least we have 13 brave senators that isn't afraid to speak out against an injustice. It is to bad that there are people like you that buy into the repuglican rhetoric and claim it is like their own. It is not cut and run to withdraw troupes from a no win situation. The Iraqi's are engaged in a civil war and we are in the middle of it and there is no taking sides. They should be allowed to form their own government any way that they want to. We have no right to set up a puppet government and expect the Iraqi people to accept it.

Truth: Withdrawing troops on the basis of completing their mission, which is what your story is about, is completely different from withdrawing troops according to a timetable without completing their mission, which is what Sen. Kerry called for. The former is leaving because you've done what you set out to do; the latter is cutting your losses, or as it's more popularly put, "cut and run".

And the Democrats are so down on Kerry that they didn't let him take the Senate floor until after the nightly news cycle so his blathering and incoherence wouldn't make the network news.

Personally, I can't stand people who can't stand people they've
never met. Now, bush is going to do exactly what Senator Kerry
proposed & I'm sure he's ready to take the credit for it.

Kerry served in Vietnam, bush did not.

Sounds just like what they did back in Vietnam. Oh yeah I forgot about Kerry's crap there too. Well it shows history repeats itself

Sounds like a typical liberal. If he was President, I would be looking for tire tracks on his back from others running him over (even the lowly U.N.)

Well I guess you could say his flipping is complete; he voted for the war and now he's voted against it.

To those who want to cut and run just remember this....al queda won't run but they will cut - your neck.
