Describe how someone looks when they doggie paddle in the water. What motions do they make? What look do they typically have on their face?

I never saw anyone who looked like they were very proficient at it. Mostly they have the look of panic and/or fear. sheer terror! Come to think of it my dog is the only one who seem to do it correctly could be why they call it the dog paddle!

they are scared. they are using their only mode of survival, and that is the doggy paddle. they squirm around, and dont move very fast. it does not look like a fun time
