I moved down to Orlando to go to school and now that I am done with school I was planning on moving to NJ to be closer to my daughter. The problem is that I can't find a job in my career field or one that pays enough to support the cost of living up there. I am living with my ex-boyfriend, which totally sucks...we fight all the time and I am not happy at all. I don't want to move somewhere else locally because I will have to sign a 6-12 month lease which I can afford to break. My money is slowly going down the drain and I don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make some money fast, without doing anything illegal? Or even just some advice on what to do? Please help, I feel trapped.

It's better to make money before you move than to move without money, so I'd recommend taking two jobs for the rest of the time you're in Orlando. Not only will your bank account grow, but you'll spend a lot of time away from the home, which leaves you less time to fight with your ex. Also look at what you are planning to bring on the move with you; household items like dishes and furniture can often be more expensive to move than to replace when you are settled in. Sell everything you don't absolutely need to bring with you; you may not become rich off of a yard sale but you'll have some more cash and less stuff which makes for easier travel.

If your goal is to simply be closer to your daughter rather than live with her in NJ, look into Delaware, especially the Wilmington area, for a place to live. Wilmington is experiencing a great phase of growth right now so you may earn more there than you expect, and the cost of living is still fairly reasonable. It's just about an hour or so on the Amtrak from Wilmington to NYC so it's pretty close to NJ.

What is your job field that you can't afford to live in the northeast? If it's that worthless, why did you study it? It's just you that you're supporting, right? Or are you paying child support too? And how high is your cost of living? People with only a minimum education can find jobs that support themselves and their families. Move wherever you want to, find some kind of job and living arrangement then work to move up in your field. Stop whining and get a life, woman.

Maybe share rent with your daughter. How old is she? If she's young and still living with her father, a divorce case, then I would start to go to a temp ageny to find yourself a job in your profession. The one that is nationwide is AccounTemps. There website is www.accountemps.com
If you can write, speak English and type 50 wpm, AccounTemps or any other Temp agency can help you find a job. If worst come to worse, rent a motel weekly. The cost is somewhat high but you can avoid the contract lease.
